Gozo’s Public Transport Service Now Fully Electric Following €11 Million Investment
The Kordin Prison Bakery remains one of the most unique initiatives, where traditional baking skills meet rehabilitation and personal development. This bakery not only produces quality products but also provides a real opportunity for individuals in custody to learn a trade and build a better future.
Among the most popular products are the traditional ‘Qagħqa tal-Appostli,’ associated with the Easter period, as well as the classic ‘figolli,’ which remain a favourite among Maltese families. These products reflect both tradition and the dedication invested in every stage of production.
At the core of the bakery’s operations are structured training and professional supervision, where participants develop not only technical skills but also essential values such as discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. All of this contributes towards stronger reintegration into society.
The public can visit and purchase these products directly from the kiosk located next to the Kordin Prison will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Friday, 3rd April until Sunday, 5th April.
