Malta Maintains Top Position in Europe for Digital Government Services
Servizz.gov has launched a new and improved version of its portal, Servizz.gov.mt, with new digital tools designed to make public services simpler, more accessible and more personalised to citizens’ needs.
The portal plays an important role as one of the main points of contact between the public and the Public Service. Over the past year, the website registered more than 738,000 users and generated over two million page views, showing how essential this digital service has become for the public.
New features include the Benefit Finder, an intelligent tool that helps users identify services and benefits for which they may be eligible. Services are also now organised according to major life events, making it easier for users to find what they need at the right time.
The platform also includes personalised dashboards, online appointment booking for selected services, including tax assistance and the collection of identity cards, as well as a chatbot offering immediate assistance. All services are available in both Maltese and English.
The Head of the Public Service, Tony Sultana, said that this investment strengthens the quality of services offered to citizens and continues to build on the Public Service’s digital transformation journey. Servizz.gov Chief Executive Officer, Massimo Vella, said the aim is for every person to access Government services in a simpler, more efficient and more personalised way.
