Gozo’s Public Transport Service Now Fully Electric Following €11 Million Investment
As of today, 1st June 2022, the Public Service has a new Principal Permanent Secretary, Mr Tony Sultana.
Mr Sultana was appointed Principal Permanent Secretary after a 36-year career in the public sector in which he pioneered the use of information technology. He has served as executive chairman of the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) since April 2013.
This appointment comes after nomination by Prime Minister, Robert Abela, and the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Public Service Commission.
Mr Sultana holds a degree in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Malta and a masters in science management from Anglia University in the UK.
He replaced Mr Mario Cutajar who has retired after leading the Public Service for the past 9 years.
