A new working conditions’ agreement was signed for officers falling within the ICT Class of the Public Service which will further improve the conditions of this class.
This is the 9th collective agreement that has been finalised and signed in the last two months at the Public Service, thus improving the conditions for around 700 workers.
The officers falling within the ICT Class are all employed within one of the Information Management Units (IMU) spread across the Ministries. Each IMU is managed by a Chief Information Officer and the role of the IMU, among others, is to form strategic and operational plans that help deliver the national information technology strategy, provide support to Ministries in all IT matters, and cater for the required training needs.
This agreement was signed in the presence of the Principal Permanent Secretary Mr Tony Sultana.
