Gozo’s Public Transport Service Now Fully Electric Following €11 Million Investment
Work in the social sector continues to deliver concrete results, with 82% of the Budget 2026 measures assigned to the Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights already implemented within the first quarter of the year.
Through these measures, more direct support is reaching families, particularly working parents and those caring for children with disabilities. Among them is the In-Work Benefit, which will reach 22,885 working parents through an investment of €4.3 million, alongside increased rates per child.
Other key initiatives are also being strengthened, including the Carers Grant, improvements in disability pensions, and increased allowances for widowed parents with children.
All this shows how, through the work being carried out by the public administration together with the help of the ministries, social measures are being implemented effectively and on time, with a clear focus on people’s needs.
