Libby is a free reading app acting as a digital reading platform open 24/7 and allows Malta Libraries' members to borrow, read and listen on the go. Libby makes it easy to customize how one reads - adjusting font size, layout, sound and brightness – and therefore makes reading possible for even more readers with different abilities and preferences. 

Libby hosts a wide range of eBooks, Audiobooks and Magazines – the majority of which are in English but other languages are also available. The material available is targeted to both young and adult readers. More genres, languages, and brand new titles and subscriptions are added regularly to the platform by Malta Libraries.

To borrow for free from Libby one must first become a member of Malta Libraries by applying online from maltalibraries.gov.mt or visiting the local public library. Once the membership card bearing a unique member number is in hand, one simply needs to download Libby onto a chosen device and log in using the Malta Libraries membership card details to start borrowing.

The same membership can be used to access hard copies from Malta Libraries.
