Want to report littering and illegal dumping? The Public Service has a digital solution to facilitate this. You can make use of a dedicated mobile app, ‘Clean & Upkeep.’

Through the Clean and Upkeep mobile app, the citizen can take a picture and send it directly via the mobile app. If the user wishes to switch the mobile location on, the location is automatically sent with the message. The case is channelled to the relevant Public Service departments. The citizen can remain anonymous.

Besides littering and illegali dumping, one may also report cleaning of culverts, public conveniences, beaches, street sweeping, dead animals and emptying of litter bins among others.

The mobile app will also give you constant updates on your report, making this application truly valuable to have on your personal device.

The anti-littering platform was developed by the Cleansing and Maintenance Directorate (CMD), and it has become its main platform to monitor every step of the national cleaning process with each activity being time-stamped and monitored from start to finish.
