A Small Contribution, a Big Impact: The Public Service Support towards the Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF)

Date 09.01.2026
Time 5 minutes

The festive period has come to an end and many of us have returned to our work routine. This therefore presents an opportunity to remind all Public Service officers that the Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF) is continuously in need of our support. We encourage you to join the donation scheme through which public officers contribute a small amount from their salary towards a noble cause. This is a minimal donation that can make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and families who are going through difficult times, particularly those related to medical conditions.

Anyone who wishes to participate in this scheme should visit the eForm available here. Through this link, one can make a donation in a secure manner. The process is simple and does not take much time, yet its impact is long-lasting. Last year, through this scheme, a total of €44,733 was collected. Our aim is to continue strengthening and improving this scheme for such a worthy cause by increasing participation.

Those who have already applied for this scheme do not need to reapply, as the donation will continue to be automatically deducted according to the selected arrangement. Naturally, each participant remains free to amend or stop their donation at any time. The salary payment dates for this year are as follows:

28th January, 25th February, 25th March, 22nd April, 20th May, 17th June, 15th July, 12th August, 9th September, 7th October, 4th November, 2nd December, and 30th December.

Donations will be processed together with the respective salary. Finally, we encourage everyone to seriously consider contributing. Together, we can continue to give hope to those who truly need it. Thank you.
