Ten years of curiosity, discovery and inspiration -– As Esplora celebrates its tenth anniversary, this milestone is an opportunity to celebrate not only how far the Centre has come, but also the dedicated Public Service employees who have made this journey possible.

Since opening its doors in 2016, Esplora has grown into Malta’s National Interactive Science Centre and a vibrant hub for science engagement. Through more than 200 interactive exhibits, educational programmes, science shows, workshops, Planetarium experiences and major public events, Esplora has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, inspiring people of all ages to explore, question and discover.

At the heart of this success is Esplora’s multidisciplinary team. Science communicators, educators, content developers, technicians, visitor-service personnelstaff, administrators and operational staff bring expertise, creativity and dedication to their work every day, ensuring memorable and meaningful experiences for every visitor.

As part of Xjenza Malta, Esplora continues to contribute to Malta’s ambitions in science, research and innovation. Its next chapter will embrace the transition from STEM to STEAM, creating new connections between science and the arts.

After a decade of achievement, Esplora looks ahead with the same spirit of curiosity that began its journey: inspiring discovery, empowering people and helping shape Malta’s future.
